So I thought this photo was a bit haunting and it reminded me of a few episodes I went through two years ago. I used to wake up in the middle of the night unable to move any part of my body except my eyes. I couldn't speak, but I could feel. I was AWAKE , and very sure of it. I would see very strange things but my eye sight is so bad that everything was a big blur.
Naturally the first thing I thought was "eep! ghost!! I'm haunted!!" but after going through two nights in a row of my room turning red, my fan TALKING TO ME, and some strange being kneeling by my legs and resting it's head on me, I decided to do some research online. I even joined a forum where people talked about their different experiences with similar events.
Turns out I was having Lucid Dreams. I was awake, in a sense, but still asleep. So there! Once I realised that there was an explanation for it, I overcame the episodes and they never happened again.

I am sure that's not lucid dreaming you are experiencing
lucid dreaming is when you are aware you are dreaming while doing so. You were awake when your sleep paralysis was still active. A lot of people have that, and when that happens, they also see a lot of haunting things, often terrifying.
